Scope of Work:  

  • Develop, code, install, test, debug, and document software applications using appropriate editors. 

  • Write and/or delete programming script to enhance functionalist and/or appearance of company web apps and software applications as necessary. 

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing software applications and sites. 

  • Plan phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects 

  • Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications

  • Determine, develop, and maintain user manuals and guidelines.

  • Established procedures for publishing applications in conjunction with content owners.

  • Identify, recommend, and prioritize new software features and applications in conjunctions with business leaders and department managers 

  • Work with database administration to design, develop, and update relational databases as they pertain to software applications 

  • Track and evaluate new standards, technologies, and trends in software architecture, development, design, and delivery. 

  • Take an active role in cross-departmental projects as assigned.

Key Requirements:  

  • Experience developing JSON, REST, SOAP, Open API/Swagger, GraphQL, Protocol Buffers, and XML

  • Advanced front-end experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, PHP, and CSS. 

  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts, tools, and continuous delivery pipelines – Bamboo, Jenkins, Maven, Bitbucket, Jira, etc.

  • Ability to implement instrumentation to gather business-specific metrics around consumer usage patterns

  • Experience with API management platforms, design standards, patterns, and best practices 

  • Knowledge of cloud development/engineering best practices 

  • Knowledge of local and cloud data stores
